1998 After successfully completing a three-day program at the Skip Barber Racing School, launched racing career in Skip Barber Formula Dodge Southern Series. Earned the distinction of becoming the first professional Pakistani race car driver.
1999 Competed in the Skip Barber Formula Dodge Southern Series. Competed in Formula Renault Invitational race at the Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk, UK.
2000 Graduated to the Star Mazda Series Southwest Championship. Finished rookie season fifth in the championship standings. Signed first major sponsorship with Budweiser.
2001 Scored first career win and went on to capture first career championship in the Star Mazda Series Southwest Championship. Competed in the Lone Star Legends Series at Texas Motor Speedway. Scored two wins and finished the season second in the championship standings.
2002 Won three races and claimed second championship in the Star Mazda Southwest Championship. Finished third in the Star Mazda Southwest 2 Hour Endurance race. Completed NASCAR program at Team Texas High Performance Driving School at Texas Motor Speedway.
2003 Finished fourth in the Star Mazda Southwest Championship. Tested in an Indy Lights Series car for Sam Schmidt Motorsports at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
2004 Competed in the Star Mazda Southwest Championship but missed several races due to a minor injury. Finished 17th in championship standings.
2005 Named the first driver for Team Pakistan in the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport. Heralded as a pioneer of Pakistani motorsports by President General Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan. Participated in A1GP test at Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire, UK. Tested in a British F3 Series car for Performance Racing at Pembrey Circuit in Carmarthenshire, South Wales.
2006 Driver for Team Pakistan in the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport. Competed in the Star Mazda North American and Southwest Championships. Scored three poles and two wins. Established Nur Ali Motorsports Academy, the first professional racing school in Pakistan. Co-founder of Motorsport Association of Pakistan, the non-profit organization responsible for the governance of automotive sport in Pakistan.
2007 Driver for Team Pakistan in the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport. Scored a career high 10th place finish in Durban, South Africa. Competed in the Star Mazda Southwest Championship and scored two wins. Tested an ARCA Racing Series car for Cunningham Motorsports at Daytona International Speedway. Tested in an Indy Lights Series car for Michael Crawford Motorsports at Kentucky Speedway.
2008 Made his ARCA Racing Series debut at Daytona International Speedway and earned the distinction of becoming the first Asian-American driver to compete in the series.
2009 Competed in the ARCA Racing Series at Daytona International Speedway, Rockingham Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway.
2010 Competed in the ARCA Racing Series at Texas Motor Speedway.
2011 Sanctioned by NASCAR and received NASCAR Camping World Truck Series license.
2012 Received NASCAR Nationwide Series license. Made Nationwide Series debut at Kansas Speedway on October 20, 2012.
